Less than 5% of business professionals asked at the current year's Promotional Products Association tradeshow admitted to not using customized promotional gear at their own shows and events. Roughly 72 percent of respondents state that promo items are either "extremely effective" or "effective" in accomplishing their goals. Attracting new customers, fomenting interest in your product, promoting your company name, improved traffic flow in your booth and just plain old increased goodwill are all great reasons to using branded merchandise and promotional product marketing.
In a 2006 study, Incentive Performance Central determined that custom promotional products can serve as a stand-alone medium for advertising, second only to television ads in terms of perceived "information value." They went on to say that items with a company logo were a very effective advertising tool to reinforce positive brand image and augment tv and print mediums. The promo products helped to create at-home reminders, enhanced impressions of the brand/product and contributed to a consumer's intent to buy. According the results of the survey, television was the most appealing source of information with customized promos being the second. Businesses utilizing corporate gift programs were successfully contacted by customers twice as many times compared to those without a gift program according to Promotional Products Associaiton International. Sinced you already know that you will be using promotional products, the real question is which products will you choose?

The top-rated promotional products are something your potential customers can wear (for example, a bookbag or a t-shirt). The second exciting splurge is any type of writing tools. One out of every ten., largely embedded writing utensils. There's no better gift than something that ca be used every single day. How often has somebody stopped at your desk and then walked away holding your pen? When it comes to sales promo items, pens certainly rank at the top of the list as they are an extremely useful and long-term reminder of your company. In addition to that, well-liked promotional marketing products include: calendars, key tags, stress relievers, well-known water and promotional food.
Regardless of what your product of choice is, be it pencils, lipstick cases, or another odd item, you must still have the proper plan to implement. Look for brand emissaries that jive well with your company's image, train them well in marketing know-how, then send them out to where your wished-for market congregates. After all, they are the first impression your prospective clientele will be having with your company and your brand. Competition is fierce in the marketing field, so always be prepared to work at 120% of capacity and don't wait for a few cheap promotional gizmos to do your job for you! The more you give, the more you get, plain and simple.
